Contractors will be performing tree maintenance/pruning on Main Street beginning Monday, February 12th through Friday February 16th.  Pruning will be done by certified arborists to promote the health, safety, and aesthetics of the trees.  Most trees have not been pruned in over 10 years and some may require extensive pruning to ensure safety and to improve the health of the tree.

The work is scheduled to begin at 5:00am on each day and will end each day by 11:00am.  Crews will  begin at the courthouse and work their way south on Main Street.  There will be rolling road closures each day, signs will be posted, and Town staff will be onsite to help direct traffic

If you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at 828-456-3706.
