Current Vacancies

The Cemetery Committee is now accepting applications to fill one vacancy.  If selected, the committee member will serve for a term ending June 30th, 2024, at which point they would be able to re-apply to serve for another term. 

The purpose of the Cemetery Committee is to serve as an advisory committee to the Board of Aldermen making recommendations regarding guidelines and procedures for the maintenance and upkeep of the Town's Cemeteries. 

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday at 2:00pm in January, March, July, and October.

In 2013, the Town of Waynesville Board of Aldermen approved moving to a standardized annual appointment date for all volunteer boards and commissions to coincide with the fiscal year July 1 to June 30 and limited the number of terms served without a one year break to two terms.   Effective June 12, 2018, the Board of Aldermen amended the term limit to three (3) terms.
