Stormwater Master Plan Will be Presented at Council Meeting

The Stormwater Master Plan study prepared by WithersRavenel will be presented to the Town Council on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, at 6 pm in Town Hall (9 South Main Street).

In October 2023, the Town contracted with WithersRavenel, Inc. to launch a Stormwater Master Plan study. Over 30 months, the company performed an asset inventory, identified flooding problems through stormwater modeling, developed strategies to improve the infrastructure capacity, proposed a capital improvement plan (CIP), and reviewed the Town Ordinance and design standard. The CIP will provide a framework for prioritizing future design, pursuing external funding, and reducing flood risk to public infrastructure, private property, and critical facilities. The Stormwater Master Plan focuses on three areas: Hazelwood, Shelton Branch, and Frog Level.

All residents are invited to attend the meeting and provide their input and hear a summary of the Stormwater Master Plan.
