NOTICE OF DISCHARGE OF UNTREATED SEWAGE
The Town of Waynesville had a discharge of untreated wastewater from our wastewater collection system at 699 Access Road, Waynesville of approximately 684,000 gallons. The discharge occurred on January 26th, 2024 for approximately 69 hours. The untreated wastewater entered Richland Creek in the Pigeon River Basin. A pump was used to transfer spillage from the leak to a manhole on another line to prevent further discharge into any water source or creek area.
