The Town of Waynesville Planning Board will hold three (3) public hearings on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Board Room, located at 9 South Main Street, Waynesville, NC, to consider:

  1. Text amendments to the Stormwater Ordinance, Land Development Standards (LDS) Section 12.5. The proposed text amendments are based on recommendations from the Comprehensive Stormwater Plan and mandatory changes required by recently passed House Bill 162, the Parking Lot Reform and Stormwater Control Act.

  2. Text amendments to remove the minimum parking requirements, as required by recently passed House Bill 162, the Parking Lot Reform and Stormwater Control Act (LDS Chapter 9).

  3. Text amendments to remove the screening requirement for Outdoor Storage in Commercial Industrial districts (LDS 3.5.8).
