Do you have an interest in law enforcement and helping your community? Consider volunteering with the Civilian Police Volunteers! The most important function of the Waynesville Police Department (WPD) Civilian Volunteers is to organize and conduct an annual Civilian Police Academy (CPA). The CPA is taught by WPD officers and provides Haywood County residents a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes in the department and learn what our officers do at the grassroots level. The classes are taught by the officers who are in the community doing the job.
