The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality has notified the Town of Waynesville that the E. coli positive test was from a single testing source. They further clarified that the Town will receive notice from the Health Department if a body of water must be restricted to swimmers.
This means that swimming is NOT restricted in Richland Creek near the Vance Park Street area. Please call 828-452-2491 with any questions.
