Includes the Town Manager's Office and Town Clerk. The Manager is the chief administrator and is responsible for implementing Town Council policies and developing the annual budget. The Town Clerk maintains the Town’s records, provides support to the Board of Aldermen, and provides information to citizens and the news media.
Prepares growth management policies; land use, transportation and housing plans; analyzes demographics; and maintains maps. It handles zoning, annexation, development plan review, and sign and temporary use permits.
Handles building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing code inspections. It enforces minimum housing standards, and reviews construction plans.
Responsibilities include budget management, accounting, debt administration, payroll, utility billing and collection, and purchasing.
Protects the community during emergencies, and provides education in fire safety.
Advises management on recruitment, hiring, and retention. Responsibilities include classification and pay, equal employment opportunities, training, benefits and employee safety.
Provides a variety of recreation, sports, environmental, historical and cultural arts programs. It develops and maintains our system of parks, recreation facilities, athletic fields and other facilities.
Protect life and property through enforcement and prevention with programs including school resource officers, Neighborhood Watch and the Citizens Police Academy.
Responsible for providing a safe and adequate water supply and wastewater treatment service, and the maintenance of Town streets, sidewalks and vehicles. The department also collects solid waste for residential and commercial customers, as well as maintains Greenhill Cemetery.
The Town Attorney is the legal advisor for the Board of Aldermen and staff. The Town Attorney does not provide legal services for any outside citizens, groups, or businesses.
