The Town of Waynesville is now accepting applications from non-profit organizations for consideration of special appropriations in the upcoming Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget.  This notice is addressed to organizations that are interested in applying and provides the requirements for submission.

The Town of Waynesville appropriates funding to those organizations that provide services and programs to the citizens of Waynesville.  Funds shall be appropriated for public purposes only.    Click here for Application

Survey Available for ADA Transition Planning

The Town of Waynesville is gathering information from the public as part of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.  This survey is intended for people who live in Waynesville or who visit Waynesville to have valuable input about accessibility.  This survey addresses accessibility of services and activities offered to the public.  All responses are subject to becoming public record.

The purpose of this survey is intended to inform the ADA Transition Plan update by generating priorities for improving Town-owned infrastructure.  The goal is that each service is readily accessible to and usable by persons of all abilities.

BID ANNOUNCEMENT - Bridge Reconditioning  Response date extended until April 1 at 3:00 pm

The Town of Waynesville is accepting bids for the rehabilitation of the steel I-beams under the Walnut Trail Bridge leading into the Town’s Wastewater Treatment plant.  The beams will be recoated and sections of steel where section loss has occurred will be repaired.  The bridge will remain open over the course of construction. 

Bids will be accepted until bid opening on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. EST at the Waynesville Public Services Building, 129 Legion Drive, Waynesville, NC 28786.
